Spent Wednesday on the sand at Newport Beach with family and had a wonderful time. My daughter in law organized the date and we had lots of kids and grandkids there enjoying the sun and the water.
Since I am no longer a youngster, putting on a bathing suit is always a bit traumatizing, but this time I just decided to go for it! The sight may not have been what most expect to see on a Southern California beach, but I sure enjoyed myself! LOL! I believe this newfound freedom to do as I wish and wear what is comfortable is a sure sign of two things. I FINALY have come into my own and I've obviously lost it! I am sure I am quite the embarrassement to my adult children (it's such fun!!) but oh how terrific it is to laugh and play and just BE! I enjoy my days all the more and am learning so much about life and love and what it TRULY all means in the grand scheme of things!
Life is far too short to spend it worrying about what others think of you and even shorter if you spend your time gossiping or trying to find fault in others. Plus I think doing those things adds wrinkles and gray hair! So I suggest you avoid them like the plague!!
Seeing the beauty in life and others is so very refreshing and strenghtening. Finding the good in everyone and everything is really so much easier and it reflects well upon you too! So I am going to live more in the moment and attempt to fill my life and home with love, laughter and more of the teaching of the Lord! Heck, you can't go wrong with any of that!
