Let's see where I need to begin? These are some of my grandchildren and a cousin enjoying an evening out at the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA. They decorate the historic hotel up to the hilt! We go as a family every year for fun and photo opportunities. The little one crying is Hunter, he wanted to hold his baby cousin, Kash, but one of the other cousins had him...hence a small meltdown.
Now, as you can see, Hunter is MUCH happier! The children are Drake (a cousin to some of my grandson's), then Hunter holding Kash next to Gavin with Cole beside him and Tristan resting her head on him while little Cade looks on. The "shoulder" on the far right is of Chase. We are missing the eldest granddaughter, Savannah Glory.
That same evening some of us enjoyed a bit of ice skating in a temporary ice rink put up for just for the holiday season. I hadn't skated in ions and was nervous, but it sure was fun!!!!
This is my favorite photo of Christmas 2009! It's our youngest grandson, Kash age 1, meeting Santa Claus at Disneyland. The look between them is classic!
Our Tree in our Great Room before the presents were added! It was a Gingerbread and Candy theme.
I have a sweet little rustic pine tree I bought at Tuesday Morning for a STEAL! Love it!!!!
I did a Dog and Cat themed tree in the front Parlor along with Snowpeople and Snowflakes! My youngest daughter's family stockings are hung on this mantle.
And here is our family Christmas Stockings I handmade for my husband and my 3 children!
They all chose to have them stay with me for future Christmases and have started their own family collections!
We had help from Santa on some of the gifts! We chose to not overdo with the gifts this year and even though we had some trepidation about cutting so far back, it ended up being a good thing! The children have so many family members who give them gifts, so why just pile more gifts on? Everyone got a fun gift and we all were able to enjoy our holiday time together rather than focusing on presents! Lovely time for all!
With the New Year approaching and events that happened over the last year, I am making some major changes in my life and my outlook on life as well. I hope my blog will reflect this with each entry to come!
Hang in there and see for yourself! Better yet, tell me what YOU would like to see from me and to hear about? I am hoping to venture out and bring other blogsters to you as well for your enjoyment!
Happy New Year To All!!!!
