It's Sunday night and bedtime isn't all that far off for me. I am watching our youngest grandson Kash for a couple of days while his parents are enjoying some time away in Las Vegas. The "mini-beast" as I affectionately refer to him, keeps me very busy so my energies are drained quickly! He is learning to walk and is constantly on the move trying to open each and every cupboard and drawer or climb the stairs on his own or enjoy the delicacies awaiting him in the cat or dog dishes... He is quite the gourmet!
Today we stayed around the house for the most part so he could play and I could recharge after a night with very little sleep. Our eldest grandchild Savannah, had spent the night so she was here to help me a bit. We did go out to get a bite to eat and the hubby and I bought Kash a pair of walking shoes for future outdoor times. He seemed to like them and can walk well enough in them, so tomorrow we will test them out!
We chose our Great Room seating and look forward to receiving it some time next month. Decided to go with very casual pieces while the grandkids are so young and we are still figuring out how we are actually going to be living/using this house! Here's a photo of the set... the color is off and I am going to change the accent pillows, but it gives you a bit of an idea. It's rather large in scale, so it will certainly fit in this room! Now I MUST complete the painting of the walls... no excuses anymore!
I have many projects to complete still ahead of me, so check back often to see what I'm working on.
Always,
Jackie Lee

Jackie....I so enjoyed hearing about your little "mini-beast"...how funny !!!
I understand, we had TWIN boy grandson's...what a job they were. They are now 22 years old. Grew up to be EXCELLENT, responsible young men.
I too LOVE buying things for my grandkids...just loved dressing them....and helped the parents out a bit with their budget.
Love, Rose
