Temperatures are going up here in So. California which means shorts, tank tops, flip flops and bbq's! A/C's are humming and the kids are out of school for summer vacation at last. Ah... those crazy, hazy, lazy days of summer.....
Well, maybe for some, but for me it means getting the backyard set up for extra visits from the grandchildren and seeing that our herd of various pet dogs are cool and comfortable. And that is just the easy part!
HOW will I keep all those children busy without exhausting myself? We don't get our built in pool until NEXT summer... so that's not going to work. We haven't hired a company to build our covered patio as yet... so no playing on the cement since it's too hot for little feet and hands. The swings and jungle gym hasn't been bought yet, let alone set up.... oh my... I really have my Grandma work cut out for me, don't I?!! How DO other grandparents and doting family manage when they aren't quite prepared? Any hints???
